Bateleur Safari Camp
Bateleur Safari 2* Camp is ideal for couples, singles and small groups who are looking for a Timbavati safari that simultaneously exceeds expectations and offers an up-close experience of the true African bush and wildlife. Bateleur is totally eco-friendly. The feature of the camp’s central area is the covered, open-sided wooden deck that houses the lounge and dining areas and overlooks the riverbed and its seasonal waterhole. The comfortable lounge area is an ideal place for idle game viewing or relaxing with a good book and a cool drink between guided activities.

Mjejane bush 5* Camp
Mjejane bush Camp is a 5* Camp – a place where you can fall asleep to the sound of hippos snuffling in the grass and wake to the “Dawn Patrol” of elephant making their steady way through the surrounding bushveld. Set on the edge of the Crocodile River, this is just the place to sneak off on a safari holiday for two, three…or more. There is more than enough space here for families and friends, thanks to the carefully considered self-catering rooms and suites, ranging from one to four bedrooms. Each space is fully equipped with a kitchen, lounge area for family dining, and floor-to-ceiling windows leading out to a deck with an outside braai (BBQ).

Jackalberry Ridge 3* tented camp
Jackalberry Ridge is a 3* tented camp and is just the place to gently ease into the indigenous South African wilderness. Take the kids, and bring grandma and grandpa too. This self-catering family accommodation near the Kruger National Park strikes exactly the right balance between comfort and outdoor-authenticity, with the lure of the Big Five just a stone’s throw away. Find a good spot to set up camp, or try one of their luxury tents with a vintage feel – a cosy, romantic option for couples. There’s nothing like waking up in the morning to the cheer of birdsong from the surrounding Jackalberry trees.

Burchell’s Bush Lodge (Unrated)
Staying at Burchell’s Bush Lodge is a unique experience. Not only is it an RCI Gold Crown resort but there is very easy access to Kruger National Park through the Paul Kruger Gate, a mere 200 meters from the resort. The purpose is to provide Lodge guests with a bushveld experience next to the Kruger National Park and the Sabi Sand Conservation area. The emphasis is on guest’s relaxation and enjoyment of the natural surroundings while indulging in wildlife, birds and nature in general. They have a large variety of bushveld trees on the property, many of which have been identified and labelled. These attract a variety of birds especially in summer when our locals are joined by many migrant songbirds. Enjoy coffee and rusks on your own patio while listening to the dawn chorus.
